Lachlan Scott showed his A-League level class by scoring a double in the Wolves' thumping of Manly on Sunday.
Continuing their remarkable campaign led by coach and former Socceroos' World Cup player Luke Wilkshire, the Wolves won 4-nil at Cromer Park.
It keeps them three points clear at the top of the NSW NPL ladder, with a commanding goal different of plus-18, an advantage of 10 on second-placed APIA Leichhardt, who outclassed Marconi 4-2 on Saturday night. Thomas James and Takeru Okada also found the net in an impressive Wolves performance.
James, recruited from Canberra, now has 13 goals in 12 games this year, while Scott has four in eight games since joining the Wolves from Western Sydney Wanderers.
It sets up a mouth-watering top-of-the-table clash on Saturday night, when the Wolves host APIA Leichhardt at WIN Stadium.
Michael Kouta scored a double for the Tigers on Saturday, his first two of the season, while captain Sean and Josh Symons also delivered, while Chris Payne looms as the Wolves biggest goal threat.
