AMAZED AND AMUSED
I never cease to be amazed and amused by Labor voters, especially some of those who contribute to this page.

They are always right and everyone else is wrong, even when more Australians disagree with their beloved Labor Party than agree with it.
You know what they say about a person who thinks they're the only one who is sane and everyone else is insane.
It's not really different when the minority of a population say they got it right and the majority got it all wrong.

VOTERS ARE ALWAYS RIGHT
In reply to 'Reform has to Wait' from John Martin (Illawarra Mercury, May 23, 2019), John you have contributed a great deal to this region and you are to be congratulated.
However I think you have underestimated the value of a silent majority when they have a pencil in their hand at election time.
Labor failed as a result of a group of people from Getup who the Australian people told to get lost and a very sick marriage with the loony Left and the Greens.
Retire with dignity.

ALL ABOUT 'JOBS AND GROWTH'
It seems the electorate is content with the offerings of the LNP in presenting them with another six years at the helm of this tired old tired old Australian economy and have been seduced into accepting Scott Morrison's catch cry about "jobs and growth".
Of course Mr Morrison has not articulated exactly where the jobs and growth in the economy are coming from but as usual, without explanation or proof of any kind, the electorate has been happy to accept his proclamations as fact.
If Morrison is to claim the efforts of his party over the last six years have been successful in providing jobs and economic growth, then one must ask for some tangible evidence to substantiate his claim.
However, far from the rosy forecast by Morrison, his policies promise nothing but a re-run of the last six years which have seen stagnant wage growth, high unemployment (one hour of work per week should not constitute employment), record numbers of homelessness, an ever growing gap between the haves and the have nots, the rise of "contract labour hire companies" who rob workers of their wages and conditions, unfair distribution of school funding, a taxation system that unashamedly favour the better off, the loss of penalty rates of pay for the lowest paid workers, falling levels of education, and a generation of young Australians who can never hope to own their own home.
Furthermore this government has no policy to address the effects of climate change.
Yep. I can see why we voted them in again.

IT'S AUTOMATIC
I wonder if Adani will do the right thing by Queenslanders.
Surely Queenslanders will insist that Adnani have no robot trucks and no robot trains and ensure local people get the truck and train driving jobs.
Word is that Adani will have it's mine automated from pit to port.
