There was pie-partisan support among the politicians at Parliament House in Sydney on Thursday when politicians were given high-pies all round to help kick off Pie Time 2019.

The month-long celebration of the Aussie pie begins on Saturday throughout the home of some of the nation's best pies - the Southern Highlands.
The official launch of Pie Time was held in Sydney, and pie-litical foes united across pastry party lines.
Member for Wollondilly Nathaniel Smith, Minister for Tourism Stuart Ayres and other members of NSW parliament attended along with Southern Highlands Pie Time participants such as bakers, wine makers and tourism operators.
Destination Southern Highlands tourism and economic development general manager Steve Rosa said the annual event's success in recent years had earned it a place on the pie enthusiast's calendar.
With the promotion winning gold at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards last year, Mr Rosa claimed the title of "Australia's Home of Pies" for the Highlands.
"There is Dine with a Pie signature pie experiences at over 50 restaurants, cafes, cellar doors, pubs and hotels, the new Pies and Pinot, and Sweety Pie and Bubbles, trails around the Highlands.
"As well [we have] pie teas, pie-cycle tours, and new activities such as star gazing at Cuttaway Hill Wines and the Southern Pielander Express which is a a special Cockatoo Run 3801 Pie theme train trip from Sydney to Robertson and Moss Vale".
