Alan, his wife Catherine and daughter Maya will be shimmying in satin and feathers for the Muse Showcase at the Heritage Hotel.
Saunders - an IT-professional who loves to cross-dress - was the first in his family to strip down to learn the art of burlesque from teacher Mae de la Rue.
"There was an element that is wasn't made anything special that I was a guy, so we just got on with the class," he said.
"I have since seen male performers since, everybody has their own style of doing things. There are men that perform as men, and men who perform in a more feminine way."
Wife Catherine was the next to sign up because a bout with breast cancer and her adult children leaving home left her self esteem crushed.
"It definitely gives you more self-confidence, you know, your body image and especially having the surgery and things you're not so quite sure of yourself so it definitely built me up," she said.
"It's a fantastic group of people: all ages, all shapes, all different backgrounds."
The Saunders family will perform with others in a troupe while Alan will also do a solo number.
The evening will include other burlesque debutantes mixed with seasoned professionals like Miss Surely Knot, Rebelle Velveteen and Burlesque Idol Australia 2018 winner Rainbow.
Miss de la Rue has said the motivations for her students to learn was wide and varied.
"Sometimes its the extroverts who want a creative outlet, other times its people who suffer from body confidence issues," she said.
The show starts at 6:30pm Saturday. For details visit: www.heritagehotel.com.au
