On the eve of Wollongong's new $3.2 million eatery opening on Thursday at 11.30am Artisan has unveiled the first menu from the chefs in its state of the art commercial kitchen.

After the Aster Group commissioned IRIS Research to conduct a survey of what people want food and beverage group executive Yianni Barthelmess and a growing team of kitchen staff have come up with an extensive menu with a few modern and unique touches.
Mr Barthelmess said one of the new additions to Wests Illawarra is a dry-aged meat cabinet featuring beef from Australia's leading meat regions and a steak lovers condiment board. They are part of an extensive meat offering that includes classic favourites such chicken schnitzel, pizza, burgers and seafood.
Artisan features dedicated zones offering diners a choice of seating style to suit their occasion.
Aster Group's Stacey Corbeski said the modern new venue was designed to make things easy for everyone.
She said wherever diners choose to sit "there is one ordering point and your meal is brought to the table when it is ready".
"It is variety delivered in a convenient way".
Ms Corbeski said the return of cocktails at the Artisan bar was already a popular decision as was a range of craft beer that includes Big Red Beetle Juice from Malt Shovel Brewers.There only 54 kegs of it nationwide.
Aster Group chioef executive Daniel Munk said thanked members and visitors to the club for being patient.
He said now all the floor space was complete the next two stages of a multi-million dollar development of the club will not cause any inconvenience.
From Thursday Artisan is open seven-days-a-week from 11:30am to 2pm for lunch and 5:30pm to 8:30pm for dinner Sunday to Thursday and to 9pm Friday and Saturday.
