Two ambulance crews were called to Gray Street at 9.45am after reports of a crash.
One car has ended up on its roof while the other parked car has damage to its side.
A NSW Ambulance spokesman said no one was trapped in the black car and all occupants were able to get out of the vehicle.
Paramedics assessed two patients from the black car.
A woman aged about 29 years old and a child about six months old were not seriously injured.
The mother had minor lacerations to her foot and the baby did not appear to have any injuries.
Both were taken to Wollongong Hospital in a stable condition.
No one was believed to be in the white parked car at the time of the crash.
