Emergency services were called to a private property off Devitts Lane just after 11am on Monday, after reports of a crash.

Police have been told the boy was driving an ATV, with a 19-year-old male passenger on board, when he lost control and the vehicle flipped.

Witnesses were able to free the boy, who was trapped underneath the ATV, and treat him until paramedics arrived. However, he died at the scene.

The passenger was treated for shock and taken to Shoalhaven District Hospital.

A crime scene was established and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
