Marri Dyin (meaning "Great Woman" in Eora language) has been a spectacle at the Vivid Sydney festival this year and last, and will be accompanied by free live music and performances from June 20 to 22.
Marri is the creation of Erth Visual and Physical, who have visited the region previously with their life-like dinosaurs.
A different lineup of musicians, DJs and performers will be scattered through the mall each night from 6pm.
Some of the performers include: Emma Saunders, Buggy Bumpers, DJ Sir Robbo, Circus Wow, Dream Dog, Emma Donovan, Jaala, Shoeb Ahmad, Tees and Tralala Blip, plus more.
In recent years other Vivid-like installations have seen colourful explosions of light projected upon buildings, while 2018 saw five giant iridescent bunnies inhabit the mall.
