Jeff Apter has chronicled the lives of Daniel Johns of silverchair, the Finn brothers, Johnny O'Keefe, John Farnham, Keith Urban and many more
He's also "ghostwritten" for ARIA Hall of Famers, sportsmen, diplomats and soldiers of fortune.
On July 6, the Keiraville author will be sharing his secrets of the mysterious craft of ghostwriting, whereby a writer pens material for someone else who is the names author.
Apter will draw on his own experiences to discuss how to find your subject's voice, determining the structure for a book, the pros and cons of ghostwriting, and the ethical responsibilities involved.
The three-hour workshop is presented by the South Coast Writers at The Lab, inside Wollongong City Library.
As previous workshops have sold out, people interested in participating are urged to book early via www.eventbrite.com.au
