Almost two years ago Erin O'Dwyer called for action to increase the number of pedestrian crossings along the road between Thirroul and Austimner.
This week she again wrote to Wollongong City Council upset that so little had been done.
She claimed that, while cycling with her two children, they were almost hit by cars three times while trying to cross Lawrence Hargrave Drive.
One instance occurred while trying to cross the road near Henley Road.
"I object to having to run across the road at this crossing," Ms O'Dwyer wrote.
"It is unsafe for adults and it is unsafe for children. Add bikes or prams or dogs, and it's a disaster waiting to happen.
"Who will have blood on their hands when a pedestrian is killed in Thirroul?"

She pointed out there were no "pedestrian crossing points" between Austinmer shops and Thirroul shops.
Wollongong councillor Leigh Colacino agreed, claiming Lawrence Hargrave Drive needed to be "treated as the main road it has become instead of the horse-drawn wagon trail it once was".
"I, along with all other councillors, are as frustrated as you," Cr Colacino wrote.
"There is not a week goes by when I don't bring up these continuing issues with staff and RMS.
"I have also had enough. You are on record as pointing out the growing risks - so am I."
Cr Colacino said council had written to RMS and Illawarra MPs asking them about the issue of crossing points.
