Illawarra doctors and other health professionals will be volunteering their time to administer the flu shots from 10am to noon.
The one-off event at the Wollongong park is being run by Vinnies and the Wollongong Talk and Fork Community - a group that runs regular community BBQs for people experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness.
Community members don't need a healthcare card to get the free flu shot on Saturday morning; they don't need to book in and they can bring their children.
Flu shots will be given in a marquee, and there's a free breakfast BBQ too.
It comes as flu cases continue to rise in the Illawarra - and across the country. There's been more than 700 confirmed flu cases in the region so far this year, and several deaths.
More than 12 million flu vaccines have already been distributed across the country, including 7.5 million for government vaccination programs.
Stocks of the vaccine for the private market ran dry earlier this month, but the Australian Government worked with manufacturers to get more than 800,000 additional doses - which arrived in the country late last week.
