MORE INVESTIGATION NEEDED
After reading the retired detective's story and the Illawarra Mercury editorial (Saturday, June 15, 2019) on the unjust history and bungling of the case since Cheryl Grimmer's disappearance I can't help but think nothing but a jury trial on all the evidence collected so far should be carried out.

Or better still a royal commission into the handling of the case .

LACK OF CONSIDERATION
As a worker I caught the 7.31 am train from Austinmer last Thursday.
Nearly all seats were taken by students who failed to stand and left heavily pregnant women and older people standing.
As young healthy students travelling on concession fares on a crowded peak hour service I would have thought that the school would have addressed the students and told them to stand during the duration of the trip.
But such consideration did not attend to these students and I am appalled by this lack of consideration shown by these students.

THE PLASTIC CONSERVATIVES
In response to the letter by John Pronk 'God Bless Australia' (Illawarra Mercury, Monday June 10, 2019), just a quick note to my new pen pal.
The "drivel" I mentioned about bad language from the Labor party is a fact.
Groups of radical extremists on the socialist-left side of politics acted in the most vile, nasty and filthy manner during the election.
Labor should have distanced themselves from these people, but failed to do so! And this really harmed Labor's campaign.
As for getting the PM I deserve ...
Morrison and the Coalition are the lesser of two evils.
And you could not pay me to vote Coalition because they have no morals and are plastic conservatives.

MORE CONGESTION
A medical hub; wonderful, just what we need.
More congestion on Bong Bong Road with traffic into and out of Marshall Street.

WHAT ABOUT THE CHILDREN?
The Israel Folau issue continues. Israel is now apparently in the process of litigation with the ARU, claiming unfair dismissal.
This will boil down to which of the two protagonists, Israel or the ARU has done the most harm to the other.
The thought has occurred to me that there is another dimension to the "who has suffered the most harm?" question, which has received little consideration.
I refer to those young and impressionable children who may have been led to believe that what Israel has told them is true.
This goes far beyond being offended.
To convince any young people that because of their day to day behavior, they could actually suffer eternal damnation in Hell, must take much of the pleasure from the one and only life they should be enjoying.
We are giving them plenty of earthly problems to worry about.
Surely that's enough.
