Roads and Maritime Services is carrying out slope stability work to reduce the risk of rock falls along the motorway.
That work will be carried out just north of Appin Road between 7.30pm and 4.30am on Sunday and Monday.
During those work hours as many as two of the three northbound lanes will be closed.
A 40km/h speed limit will be in place while work is carried out.
Meanwhile, night work on King Street at Warrawong will take place for five nights from Sunday.
Between 7.30pm and 4am maintenance work will be carried out in both directions between the intersections at Shellharbour and Kemblawarra roads.
Lane closures and a 40km/h speed limit will be in place.
