Last week saw Croome Road host the Southern Illawarra High School Zone Championships.
The day saw a number of records tumble, with sprinter Chelsea Ezeoke setting new marks in the 13 years 200 metres and 400m events. The previous 200m record was one of the longest standing in the program, having been set back in 1980.
Lucas Campbell claimed three gold medals in the 13 years 100m, 200m and long jump events and finished second overall in the 13 years point score.
Isaac Shaw and Dylan Clarke excelled in the boys 15 years overall competition. Shaw claimed the gold medal after winning the 400m, 800m and 1500m events and claiming a silver in the long jump, while Clarke took home the bronze medal.
The top athletes will now head to Canberra in August for the South Coast Regional Championships.
