Previously known as Wests Illawarra Bandage Bear Benefit Night it has been held at the Unanderra club since 1999.
Which means this year's gala night for The Disability Trust's Kids Fund will be the 20th anniversary.
During the last two decades it has raised $1.4 million to help Kids Fund provide support and services for children and their families. The gala night at Wests Illawarra on August 17 is managed by volunteers who help Disability Trust staff. Last year they raised $100,000.
Disability Trust board member Wendy Gee, of Grant Broadcasting, said the night was one where everyone could sparkle for a great cause. Which is why she has supported it for 20 years.
"I've always wanted to do everything I can for people who need help".
Aster Group chief executive Daniel Munk said Wests Illawarra was proud to be involved.
"Our intent is to continue on with the Kids Club which provides funding for families who would be outside the NDIS. It is for grass roots things they normally couldn't afford."
Disability Trust executive manager Matthew Martin said the 20th anniversary will be an opportunity to say a big thank you to many long time supporters.
"To hold an event like the gala night for 20 years takes some very special people. We have had some wonderful supporters over that time," he said.
