The Thirroul Village Committee has joined the chorus for action on road, writing to Roads and Transport Minister Andrew Constance.
"In the event of an emergency on Lawrence Hargrave Drive or one of its feeder roads first responders could be greatly restricted by traffic congestion and blockages in their ability to get to the site of any such emergency," the letter stated.

The letter also raised concerns the congestion could lead to an accident north of the Thirroul railway bridge, which may leave the northern suburbs "isolated" from the rest of Wollongong.
The village committee pointed out the long wait for a northern suburbs traffic strategy.
In 2017 Roads and Maritime Services started its Thirroul to Unanderra Network Strategy.
That was superseded by a new plan in 2018 - the Illawarra-Shoalhaven Future Transport Plan.
That won't be finished until some time in 2020.
"The Thirroul Village Committee would like to assist in developing a cohesive and long-term plan for the management of traffic on Lawrence Hargrave Drive," the letter said.
"At the moment any action appears to be many years away. As this planning process has been in train since 2017, would it be possible for Roads and Maritime Services or the Department of Transport to issue an interim report on the current planning processes as applied to Lawrence Hargrave Drive?"
