Volunteers were kept busy in the northern Illawarra with 40 calls for help on Saturday.
Wollongong SES Unit completed 26 jobs and the Dapto unit did 14.
Crews worked to remove fallen trees, branches and broken fences. They also helped secure roofs.
A resident also had to retrieve a trampoline that had flown away.
Emergency services fixed power-lines which were brought down by strong winds.
At 10.55am Fire and Rescue NSW crews along with other emergency services were attending two incidents - one at Lawrence Hargrave Drive in Thirroul and the other at Campbell Street in Woonona.
Endeavour Energy crews restored power to Figtree homes, which were without power for about two hours.
The roof at Bunnings, Albion Park was also damaged in the wind.
The Bureau of Meteorology has indicated there is another front due to bring further cold and strong winds to the region on Sunday.
A severe weather warning of damaging is in place for the Illawarra.
"The next front will move through the southeast later today and early Monday, bringing another bout of vigorous west to southwesterly winds," the bureau warns.
"From Sunday afternoon, damaging winds, averaging 60 to 70 km/h, with peak gusts in excess of 90 km/h, are likely for the Illawarra."
SES are advising residents to park cars away from trees and to double check that all loose items around the yard or on balconies are secured.
People should keep at least eight metres away from fallen power lines or objects that may be energised, such as fences.
Report fallen power lines to either Ausgrid (131 388), Endeavour Energy (131 003), Essential Energy (132 080) or Evoenergy (131 093).
