Police have thanked the public for their assistance, after a man who went missing in Wollongong has been located safe and well.

Guaun Zhang went missing from the Flagstaff Hill area at about 4.30pm on Tuesday.
The 82-year-old man is from Sydney and was visiting the area with his family when he wandered away.
Officers from Wollongong Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.
On Tuesday night, Wollongong Police established several teams to search the area around Belmore Basin before extending coverage area to as far north as The Lagoon restaurant and Stuart Park.
About 9.30pm on Tuesday, the man was located by police at Darling Harbour.
