The match-cast concrete bridge segments are being built at a specialised site south of Mogo.
Pre-cast manager Owen Vickers said the pre-cast facility was set up to produce 166 viaduct bridge girders.
"From my understanding, these are the biggest viaduct segments ever produced in (mainland) Australia, up to 20 metres wide, 4.2 metres deep and 2.5 metres long," he said.
"We pre-make the bridge in the pre-cast, except for the columns, and they'll be taken from here in 166 pieces to form the bridge.
"There will be two casting cells in the facility. Each casting cell will produce one segment per day."
