Principal photography was to begin this month in Sydney on Universal Pictures' The Invisible Man.
Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men, The Handmaid's Tale) is starring in the horror/thriller, which has a script from Australian Leigh Whannell, the co-creator of Saw.
Some scenes for the film were also shot in the Kiama LGA, including at two properties on Mt Pleasant last week.
The Mercury understands one of the properties utilised was a multi-million-dollar home that recently won the top honour at the HIA-CSR Australian Housing Awards.
Headland House, a holiday house, was awarded Australian Home of the Year and Australian Custom Built Home.
The Invisible Man is a remake of the classic monster movie. The original 1933 film was based on H. G. Wells' novel.
Whanell will also direct and executive produce the film.
The Haunting of Hill House star Oliver Jackson-Cohen also recently joined the cast of the remake.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new film will be released on March 13, 2020.
