Police are investigating after an armed hold-up of a liquor store in Wollongong on Monday afternoon.

Wollongong police said a man, armed with a 20 centimetre knife, entered the Burelli Street store around 2.45pm and threatened the female attendant.
Police said the man, aged between 20 and 30-years-old escaped with cash and some liquor. He was last seen running west on Burrelli Street towards the railway station.
The female employee was badly shaken but not harmed.
Police are currently reviewing surveillance footage of the incident.
