At the August networking dinner TIC vice president Peter Buckley asked former recipient Matthew French to stand and acknowledged his achievement.
"Matt was our winner in 2015. Since then has committed to, and now completed his MBA. Matt recently graduated in July with a distinction average while working full time for Endeavour Energy and helping his wife Sally raise their three children".
In a thank you letter Mr French wrote "I will remain eternally grateful to The Illawarra Connection for affording me such a tremendous opportunity. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to adequately repay your good selves, but I will certainly aim to live up to TIC's good name in all my professional endeavours."
