However we are disappointed the council didn't also introduce them to the northern end of Matthews Street between Sperry Street and Greenacre Road.

Every day it is a stressful task of backing out from our driveway due to the close proximity of parked vehicles.

My wife has to station herself in the street to direct me and I have threatened to paint a cross on the road way where I want her to stand.

It is not only the parked vehicles that cause concern.

A University bus travels very frequently down Sperry street into Matthews street.

I will be urging the council to introduce a two-hour time limit to deter hospital workers who do not wish to pay the hospital parking toll.

I accept this toll is possibly high but the hospital should make parking free for its employees.

The year 12 student Adran Wildhaber asks " why stay at school if our planet will die?".

Students are leading the action on climate change.

And It will now be included in the Higher 2022 School Certificate syllabus.

And Greta Thunberg a Swedish student initiated world wide strikes to demand action on this important issue.

Students have placed the issue firmly on the world's agenda.

Their action is gaining wide support

The strikes now involve 125 countries.

The last one in Wollongong included parent's and community support.

The next one is planned for September.

In response to the article by Lisa Wachsmuth, "Abortion bill 'long overdue'" (Illawarra Mercury, Saturday August 10, 2019) those "delighted" with this Abortion Bill in the NSW Parliament like Labor MP for Keira Ryan Park have demonstrated a total lack of care for children and their protection.

Since 1900, abortion has been a crime in NSW in recognising the innocence and humanity of the unborn child, and not to oppress women.

This Bill allows on demand a termination up to five months and two doctors after that with no restrictions.

The NSW Upper House has said "it is okay to kill these children".

Over 90,000 of them have their life ended in Australia each year.

Let the pro-choice supporters (in reality morally blind politicians and abortion advocates) go and cheer, and hug each other and celebrate with champagne.

But, if our society kill these children, do not be surprised in an upsurge of violence against other vulnerable people.

And do not ask why it is happening?
