Southbound traffic on the M1 Princes Motorway is banked up for kilometres after reports of a four-car crash on Wednesday morning.

The accident occurred just south of New Mount Pleasant Road, about one kilometre north of Wollongong, at about 9am.
All passengers were out of the car and were not injured.
A Fire and Rescue crew is travelling to the scene to clean up fluid on the road.
Traffic is at a standstill. Motorists are advised to avoid the area, exercise caution and allow extra travel time.
