Police arrested a 32-year-old man on Tuesday night over a North Wollongong break and enter where a resident was allegedly attacked.

Police said the incident happened shortly before 10pm in an apartment block on Cliff Road.
During the alleged break-in, a man in his late 30s was allegedly assaulted and suffered minor injuries.
He called police and they arrested the 32-year-old nearby a short time later.
He was taken to Wollongong police station where he was charged with aggravated break and enter.
He was refused bail and will appear at Wollongong Local Court on Wednesday.
