Wollongong Central marketing manager Holly Howell said they expanded on last year's inaugural festival to include more than 50 free classes from September 28 to October 12. They will include bootcamps, Zumba, HIIT training, dance cardio and yoga for young and old.
There will also be a Stair Climb Challenge to raise funds for Supported Accommodation & Homelessness Services Shoalhaven Illawarra (SAHSSI).
Ms Howell said adults need to lead by example and get moving as well.
"It's really about encouraging active and healthy lifestyles for kids and leading by example and showing them they can have fun while being active," she said.
Fitness expert Angela Saville will run the kids component and said it was a good way to keep the kids entertained while encouraging positive, healthy behaviour at no cost.
"It's something that really should be encouraged every day, just a little bit of movement," Mrs Saville said.
"Keeping them active is going to be good for their emotional growth, their mental and physical health.
"This actually provides parents with the opportunity to have their kids be active every day of the school holidays, even if it's just for an hour or up to three hours a day."
