IT will come as a surprise to anyone who watched his awkward twist in the major semi-final two weeks ago, but Collegians skipper Blake Phillips says he's definitely good to go in Sunday's grand final.

Phillips suffered a syndesmosis injury in an awkward tackle against the Butchers a fortnight ago. It put his spot in the decider in jeopardy but he admits to being surprised himself at how quickly it responded to treatment.
"A lot of people who couldn't make the game watched the vision on BarTV and said 'geez it looked bad'," Phillips said.
"I just got in a bad tackle there and twisted over myself, I was just lucky nothing snapped. I thought it was OK but then going back to the scrum my ankle just kept collapsing.
"That's a sign of a syndesmosis injury but I got straight in with Dan Lawson at BaiMed and got scans and it was just scar tissue from an old injury.
"That heals a lot quicker. They've worked a bit of a miracle over the week and I'm ready to go."
