The 25-year-old suffered pelvic and leg injuries in a single-car accident in Agars Lane.
Emergency services were called to the accident around 4pm after his vehicle hit a tree.
The man's black Honda suffered significant front end damage with the driver trapped in the vehicle for around 30 minutes.
NSW Ambulance paramedics released the man, while Fire and Rescue NSW Berry 224, Rural Fire Service crews and the Kiama SES attended the scene.
The Toll NSW Ambulance Rescue Helicopter landed in a paddock next to the crash.
The man was airlifted to St George Hospital in a stable condition.
Agars Lane which connects Beach Road to Colangata Road was closed to traffic for around an hour during the incident.
