They may be tiny, but - as any owner will attest - sausage dogs have a warrior spirit that more than makes up for their comical stature.

This will be put to the test this weekend at Wollongong's second annual search for a Sausage Dog Ninja Warrior.
With their little legs and T-Rex arms the silly sausages will toddle through tunnels and eat mini hot dogs for the ultimate ninja glory.
The obstacle course is part of Dog Day - a event to help save the lives of Illawarra rescue dogs - which is on at North Wollongong Hotel this Saturday.
An adoption parade from a range of Illawarra dog rescue organisations will be accompanied by puppy ball pits, puppycinos, dog massage, doga (dog yoga) and market stalls.
Dogs - of all breeds - can enter a best dressed and best trick competition, and share a dog friendly beer with their humans.
The event is on from 12-4pm, with the Sausage Dog Ninja Warrior challenge on from 3.30pm.
All dogs are welcome to attend, but must be on a lead.
