INVESTIGATIVE BODY NEEDED
As if to prove beyond all doubt our political class is arrogant, motor-mouthed and blindly opportunistic, New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian jumped in feet first in an attack upon NSW Labor over allegations of it having illegally sourced donations. To date, no one has raised with Gladys the proven illegal funding of the LNP during Barrie O'Farrell's time as leader of the NSW Liberal Party. Illegal funding received by the NSWLNP from a Queensland source. Funding which Brian Loughane AO then federal director of the Liberal Party and, husband of Peta Credlin; was alleged to have "laundered" before returning the "clean money" to the NSWLNP.

While on the information made public about the amount of illegal funding in the NSW LNP matter was substantial if the Labor Party's illegally received funding allegations are proven to be correct, the NSW LNP illegal funding by comparison is but a drop in the ocean. However, both the proven corruption finding against the NSW LNP and, the yet to be proven allegations involving the Labor Party serve to support the need for a Federal investigative body into corruption. A national investigative body, free of the political baggage recent ICAC and royal commissions have carried.

THE MYTHICAL FLOODGATES
Many of us are watching aghast at the treatment being applied to the Tamil Family from Biloela. Firstly, they were subject to a predawn raid by ABF, a tactic adopted by rogue regimes. Secondly, removed from Biloela to a Melbourne detention centre, received third world medical treatment and capriciously detained on a non commercial flight and rendered to an obscure destination to an uncertain future.Australia is not run by Christians.
We would be better off having the country governed by atheists and agnostics, we would get more compassion. The language used by the government sniffs of racism and a re engagement with the discredited White Australia Policy. And what breaches are there of International Humanitarian law.And the Federal Government joining the 'dirty and underhanded tricks' regime by transferring the family to Christmas Island and muddying the waters with press releases on asylum seeker attempts to get to Australia.Compassion is what the weak do, according to this government. And this government does not think compassion is appropriate because they do not want to risk opening the mythical flood gates. Maybe you have to be an au pair to be considered for compassion.

A JUMP TO THE LEFT
In response to the letter by Barry Swan "The Best Money Can Buy' (Illawarra Mercury, Wednesday September 4, 2019), the implication by Mr Swan that Cardinal George Pell is an elitist who mixes exclusively with the super-rich is garbage. Cardinal Pell is supported by a range of people from Catholics who are as poor as Church mice, Jewish leaders, and even Atheists.
Interesting how Mr Swan goes on about "deep pockets" referring to wealthy people supporting Cardinal Pell. Yet, the same Mr Swan has no problem with lefties who have deep pockets like Dick Smith, Phillip Adams, Mike Carlton, and the publicity funded ABC pushing a hard-left materialistic agenda on the Australian people.
