The inclusive nightclub for people with disabilities is an important social event every month but the biggest night of all was the inaugural CEO sing off that was part of the 10th anniversary celebrations in 2018.
The atmosphere was electric when more than 150 ABLES Nightclub regulars mixed with a 10 CEO's and their staff for a night of karaoke at The Harp Hotel. It was such a successful night of inclusion the business leaders and regular nightclubbers were keen for it to continue. So organisers Beau Thatcher and Sean O'Neill decided to do it again. This Friday at The Harp 13 CEO's have put up their hands to compete for the 2019 ABLES Nightclub CEO Sing Off title.
"The night is going ahead at the Harp Hotel at 7.30pm. We have a full line up of organisations taking part this year," Mr Thatcher said.
Contestants include Yvonne Walker, of HR With Ease, Chris Christodoulou, of Greenacres, Mark Borg, of Northcott, Brenda Devine, of Serendipity HR, Jake Pearson, of Interchange Illawarra, Yvonne Orr, of House With No Steps, Edward Birt, of The Disability Trust, Roy Rogers, of Flagstaff Group, Toni Losinno, of Essential Employment and Training, Lisa Turrell, of Zestcare, and Craig Thomson, of Community Gateway.
The winner is the performer who receives the biggest round of applause and cheer from the audience at the end of the sing-off.
