Nicole Green yelled out words of encouragement to her then-partner, Greg Merritt, as he approached the 21-year-old student on Robsons Road in Keiraville about 9.40am on December 11 last year just as he was about to go take an exam.
Merritt zapped the victim three times with a stun gun in the lower left abdomen while demanding the keys to his grey Volkswagon Golf.
The man handed over the keys, at which time Merritt asked for his wallet as well.
The victim said he didn't have one, prompting Merritt to say "as if" then demand the chain around the man's neck.
Merritt got into the Volkswagon and drove off. Green, who was driving a Toyota Aurion, drove after him.
The victim later told police he could hear Green yelling words of encouragement to Merritt during the confrontation.
The victim reported the incident to police.
Meanwhile, Merritt and Green were involved in nicking a host of number plates from cars over the three day-period surrounding the car-jacking, using them as temporary number plates on the Aurion and the Golf to avoid police detection.
The pair also stole a Toyota Kluger from outside a takeaway shop in Gwynneville after the owner left it momentarily unattended.
The car was found a short distance away two hours later, however a large sum of cash that had been in a brief case in the car was missing.
Both Merritt and Green were arrested on December 19.
Merritt has pleaded guilty to specially aggravated robbery, while Green has pleaded guilty to robbery in company.
The pair will face Wollongong District Court on Friday when a date will be set for sentencing.
Merritt remains behind bars but Green is on conditional bail.
