Police and the family of a missing Strathfield man who was last seen at Scarborough hold grave fears for welfare as he has not been heard from since Sunday.
Software technician Sakithivel Loganathan, who is aged 28 and an Indian national, was reported missing by his flatmate at Auburn Police Station on Sunday night.
The flatmate was concerned about Mr Loganathan's mental state.
Subsequent investigations revealed he was last seen at Scarborough Railway Station about 3pm on Sunday.
Railway station CCTV footage shows Mr Loganathan was wearing a grey jacket, dark blue tracksuit pants and a dark blue t-shirt with white stripes.
Police are appealing for public assistance to find him and are working with Mr Loganathan's distressed family.
Emergency services, including water and rescue police, PolAir and SES will search the land, air and sea around Scarborough and Sea Cliff Bridge on Thursday, weather permitting.
Mr Loganathan has no known associates in Wollongong and it is unknown why he travelled to Scarborough.
He has not used his bank account since Sunday.
Anyone with information is urged to contact police.
