A step above their rivals all year, Buckley's side got the early jump on Dapto in the decider, before closing out the game to claim a 49-29 victory.
While her team entered as heavy favourites, Buckley was nervous her side would trip up at the final hurdle, so she was thrilled they were able to secure the premiership.
"I was nervous, being undefeated throughout the season, it adds a bit of pressure," Buckley said. "Finals are a totally different creature to normal games.
"We started really well, which we spoke abut before the game, and we have a good solid defensive end, which is always consistent and performed well."
Buckley's Wests side is similar to the one that fell in last year's grand final, with the coach injecting a handful of younger players into the team this season.

Those youngsters, she said, were able to add some spark to the side and improve as the competition progressed.
"This year we had three young players come in, two 18 and the other 17. This team is my favourite to coach, it's a mix of older and younger players. Our youngest player Georgia Sturman is 17 and is the daughter of our oldest player Vanessa Sturman.
"The three young girls were great, I've coached them for a few years and it was time to start bringing in new players. I love to have a mixture of old and young, the young ones learn so much from the older players on the court."
