Owner and director Shelley Zipparo said they consider themselves more of a boutique style service.
"We are not a corporation driven by share holder profits. We are what is called a stand alone service," she said. "With only 22 children per day we are able to provide personal attention to each child and it creates a friendly atmosphere where everyone can get to know each other well."
The preschool caters for children from two to five years old and operates on weekdays from 8am to 5pm, for 52 weeks of the year. They employ six educators - four are Diploma trained, one is a trainee and one is a Certificate III support worker.
"Having a mix of ages allows siblings to be together. Our younger children are scaffolded by the older children and the older children learn to be caring as they help look after the younger children," Shelley said.
"I also have an active role at the service. Having the owner present and involved increases the quality of our care as families and children are not just another number. Families know they can contact me at any time, either at the service, via email or phone."

The business originally began in 1972 and was purchased by Shelley's mum Susan Coombes in 1988. Shelley took over in 1998 after finishing her diploma.
"I then went on to complete my Bachelor's Degree in Education in 2014," Shelley said. "I grew up in the area and would actually spend my school holidays with my mum at the preschool."
The business has grown and developed over the years and now has longer operating hours and caters for a broader age range to assist working families in the local community.
Continuously updating the preschool and its level of service has seen it rated as exceeding the quality standards under the National Quality Framework.
The preschool is conveniently located in a quiet street just off the highway in Fairy Meadow. It is close to University of Wollongong, Wollongong TAFE, and Wollongong CBD is only about five minutes drive away.
"We have an ever changing demographic, especially with the presence of the University which encourages lots of international visitors," Shelley said.
"Our educators have experience with children who have additional needs as well as with children who have English as an additional language. We pride ourselves on the way we make all families and children feel welcome."
The preschool is located at 3 David Crescent, Fairy Meadow. For more information phone 4229 5718, email hello@mtousleypreschool.com.au or go to mtousleypreschool.com.au
