It seems we have come across one of the worst this week.
For many reasons. Seeing a man looking dazed, with blood on his face is never a comfortable vision.
But seeing a young woman with her life ahead of her spraying the words "you're going down c--- you're going down" is sickening and saddening.
Then probably the most frightening aspect of this sorry tale, is the fact that this embarrassing video gets shared and shared and shared and then shared some more. Times 100..
Its life will be endless.
Spreading its tentacles through cyber space, just waiting for the next person to Google one of the names, to spew out its ugliness yet again.
Over and over again, parents and teachers tell young people of the dangers of posting on social media, things they wouldn't say or do face to face.
The warnings fall on deaf ears.
Whether it be school kids picking on someone in a school yard, or drunk teens getting footage of a brawl on a Friday night, this ugliness is getting recorded forever.
Gone are the days when proof was just hearsay.
Gone are the days when the next morning's regret is the only consequence.
If publishing this article and video on our website stops one young person from posting something stupid then our work here is done.
Media outlets are constantly criticised for invading people's privacy, posting footage some wish never saw the light of day.
Today we chose to blur faces and edit the vulgarness of the words in this video.
We thought long and hard about publishing it at all.
But thousands have shared it before us - in its raw entirety. We hope ours serves as a message to think twice before behaving in a way in which you would rather no one ever remembered.
