The well known climate change denier has suggested locking up individuals who disrupt or block movement during climate protests.

"I think Mark Latham has the right approach when taking on these climate protesters who are shutting down cities and that is to jail them," Senator Roberts said.

Senator Roberts said there was no evidence supporting the protesters claims and they had stated they have an objective to end capitalism and to end freedom.

"These protesters are just pushing their political agenda which is driven by the United Nations," he said.
