Zunic sits in fifth place on -8 after completing his third round at the Kalgoorlie Golf Club on Saturday.
The 27-year-old shot -1 on day three, but is five strokes behind leader Darren Beck who shot a -4 round.
Jarryd Felton is in second place ahead of Stephen Dartnall and Robert Hogan, who leads Zunic by one stroke.
Zunic shot an opening round of -7 on Thursday to be co-leader alongside Jarryd Felton.
He then shot a par round of 72 on Friday, but fell to fourth place on the leaderboard after day two.
The WA PGA Championship concludes on Sunday.
