After a one-year hiatus, the competition established by local surfboard maker Dylan Perese will showcase some of the top talents in the region.
With the final location to be finalised on Saturday, Perese said the athletes are set for superb conditions.
"We've booked Stanwell Park and every beach south through to Woonona," Perese said.
"Sandon Point would be the dream run, six foot Sandon Point firing."
The competition, which is being run by Scarborough Boardriders Club, will feature 32 of the top male surfers from southern Sydney, the Illawarra and south coast, along with eight female athletes.
Defending champion Shane Campbell will return in a bid to go back-to-back, while veteran Nic Squiers will fly the flag for the Illawarra.

The 36-year-old is in fine form, having contested a number of international events on the World Surf League's Qualifying Series throughout the year, including the Pipe Pro in Hawaii.
Emerging Stanwell Park surfer Kalani Ball will also feature, as will former professional Phil McDonald.
With the event format pitting surfers against each other in one-on-one heats, Perese said the emerging surfers will learn a lot from their older rivals.
"You've got local guys who might be winning your local boardrider's pointscores, things like that, they could be up against somebody who has spent ten years on the world tour like Phil McDonald, so it's obviously going to be a hoot for those guys."
