The top men's team claimed the Open A title, the side upsetting favourites Doyalson in the final.
The two teams have formed quite a rivalry in recent years, with the Devils falling to Doyalson in the last five Country Championships grand finals.
Wollongong jumped out to a fast start and largely controlled the match. The Dragons fought back in the second half, however, and a try on the final siren sent the match into extra time.
With the game in the fourth minute of golden point, and the teams reduced to four on four, it was Matt Tope who crossed for the Devils to win the title for his side.
The Wollongong Open Two Men's side also had a successful weekend, the team progressing to the B Division grand final to face Wallsend.
After an even start, the Devils gained the upper hand and eventually kicked clear to claim a 7-3 victory.

The Country Championships was a learning curve for the Wollongong A Women's team. Playing their first tournament together, the women progressed to the semi-finals looking to cause an upset over Newcastle.
It was not to be, however, with Newcastle claiming a tight 4-2 victory.
Last weekend also saw the finals of the Vawden Cup kick off, with the men's Premier League side falling to Penrith 5-4 in an elimination final.
The Open Two Men's team booked their grand final berth with a 7-5 win over Easts.
