Bands from the Illawarra, Sydney and Melbourne will be playing sets of material from their favourite groups as part of 'Tribute-O-Rama - A Halloween Fundraiser'.
The show is on Saturday, November 2 at Port Kembla's Servo Food Truck Bar.
Funds raised from the Halloween-themed event will go to the Wollongong Homeless Hub.
Illawarra musician Josh Smith runs Creepshow Promotions, who in recent years have booked annual shows to benefit a range of causes.
"It's a good opportunity just to get bands together and play, while raising money for a good cause," he said.
"My Mum in the past has volunteered there and told me some stories about the good work they do.
"I'm all for saving the world, I like that, but I think it starts at home and I like to choose stuff that's local."
Smith, who will be playing in a couple of bands at the event, said the range of Illawarra talent includes The Leftards, Radio Rejects, Sloshpit, Two Faced and more.
The show will feature 11 bands honouring artists such as the Ramones, Sublime, The Clash, Grinspoon, The Offspring and Descendents.
Smith said there were a couple of bands performing comprised of members of other local acts who were performing as a one-off.
Members of The Daptoids and Darkest Day will do a Misfits tribute, and members of Steel City Allstars, 51 Percent and BATFOOT will play a Teenage Bottlerocket set under the name of Middle-Aged Bottlerocket.
There will be raffles and prizes given for the best costume on the day.
"It's a spooky, fun-filled gig for the whole family with kids encouraged to come along with their folks," Smith said.
The Wollongong Homeless Hub will also have a donation van at the venue, where punters can donate canned foods, blankets, clothing and other essential items.
The gig runs from 3pm to 10pm.
