There will be dancing, music, food, creative arts, circus and more at the 2019 Viva la Gong festival in Wollongong's MacCabe Park.
As part of the 20th Viva la Gong, there will be six stages and hundreds of performers from 11am on November 9.
Wollongong Lord Mayor Gordon Bradbery said it was an "opportunity for Wollongong to strut its stuff".
"It's about celebrating what it is to be community in Wollongong," he said.
"It says a lot about Wollongong, but it's also saying what's unique about this city, and its ethnic and cultural diversity.
"And it's also a multiple stage platform where everyone can come and do their thing, engage, eat good food, listen to the music and catch up with friends."
Viva la Gong will feature indie-pop outfit Frente headlining the festival, Illawarra Folk Festival players, young performers from the Wollongong Conservatorium of Music, a silent disco, a literary and slam poetry event, and community choirs and bands.
Wollongong City Council's city culture and activation manager Sofia Gibson said the festival was a "community celebration where people can not only see amazing acts, but they can also participate".
The family can join in the creative activities from various associations such as Nan Tien Temple, Big Fat Smile and the Illawarra Potters Society.
For children there is also an Art Play Zone with puppets, a bear hunt and more.
The main stage will be MC-ed by Illawarra musician Bec Sandridge, and feature a performance by Frente, music from award-winning singer/songwriter Alice Skye and performances from Dear Violet, You Therefore Me, Bollywood Exclusive Dance School and Footloose Rockers.
This year's festival will also feature plenty of circus to see and take part in.
This includes La Petite Grande; aerials, storytelling and circus stunts with 'Scissors, Paper, Rock', a new collaboration between Burgh Circus from Helensburgh and Circartus from Wingham; as well as shows from the Illawarra's Circus Monoxide and Circus WOW.
