Shout or Be Cool people, but rumours reached a Saturday Night Fever over the weekend - and are Staying Alive - that everyone's favourite Urban Cowboy, John Travolta (pictured right, in Italy last month), will be heading to Shellharbour Airport on Monday afternoon to meet the Wild Hogs that make up the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society (HARS).
It's no Pulp Fiction, the Mercury has learned carefully considered Moment by Moment plans have begun to take form as The Experts involved in the stalled project to bring Travolta's vintage Boeing 707 to HARS prepare to welcome the man himself to Albion Park, minus his beloved Old Dog(s).
News of Travolta's generous donation to HARS was first announced in 2017 and ever since, fans have been Blow(n) Out by the Phenomenon of having a movie star visit the Illawarra with such a gift in tow.
However, hopes of the historic dame (let's call her Carrie for convenience sake) making her last flight from Travolta's home, the Mad City of Ocala, Florida, across the Pacific to Albion Park this year have been all but dashed by the The Thin Red Line of bureaucracy from both US and Australian governments.
Still, those involved in the project have practically put their Life on the Line to confirm the plane will eventually make its way Down Under. Meanwhile, all eyes are expected to turn to Albion Park on Monday afternoon to Look Who's Talking in the HARS hangar.
The Mercury tried to get confirmation from HARS president Bob De La Hunty and Shellharbour mayor Marianne Saliba but both maintained Perfect ignorance to our probing.
