Jebediah's Kevin Mitchell admits the bands have plenty of years' experience under their collective belts.
"It's about 25 years for us, and I think about 30 years for You Am I," Mitchell said.

"You get a pretty broad range (of punters at the shows), but I think there's obviously a lot of people that are coming out that are getting the babysitters organised and getting out for what could perhaps be quite a special occasion - a rare night out.
"I think there's a bit of that going on."
The vocalist/guitarist, who also performs as a solo artist under the name Bob Evans, said Jebediah's audience had always largely been a reflection of themselves.
While some younger punters, or children of long-time fans may come along to certain shows, he said overall, their audience had grown up with them.
"When we first started out, we were all teenagers, and we built up a following pretty quickly," he said.
"We ended up with a big all ages following.
"The crowds have always kind of reflected where I'm at. All these years later, I'm a Dad, and I know what it's like to organise to get out for a gig.
"Twenty-five years later, the crowd still pretty much reflects the band."
The Perth group's mainstream breakthrough, 1997 debut album Slightly Odway, arrived just a few years after their formation.
"People say to me, 'your music was the soundtrack to my high school years, or university, or living in share houses'," Mitchell said.
"I'm like, 'yeah, it was the soundtrack to my years of doing that too', because I was the same age doing that.
"The band started when i was at uni, and going through your '20s and then your '30s, getting married, having kids.
"I feel like I've been doing that stuff at the same time as our audience has been."
Having returned from a hiatus several years ago, Mitchell said Jebediah had been going into the studio on-and-off during the past 12 months to record a bunch of new songs.
He said the group was looking to avoid the pitfall of attempting to recreate popular songs from their first album.
"I think to try and still be that band, or still be that same person, that would be awful," he said.
"The music we're making now, and that will hopefully see the light of sometime, is definitely... I'm a middle-aged guy, I'm 42 years old. So I want the music that I make to be reflective of that."
-You Am I and Jebediah perform at Waves on Friday, November 8.
