A carer has been accused of spraying a disabled man's body with a high-pressure water cleaner at a Mount Ousley group home.
Wollongong police started investigating the claims after the family of the 36-year-old man, who has a number of disabilities, reported he had been injured at the home on Aristo Crescent on September 1 this year.
Police were told a carer at the home sprayed the man with the high-pressure water cleaner injuring his side and buttocks.
Following inquiries, detectives arrested a 41-year-old woman at Wollongong Police Station earlier on Friday and charged her with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
She was granted conditional bail and is due to appear in Wollongong Local Court on January 7.
