The Illawarra Football Academy has entered six teams in the competition to take on the likes of Barca Academy, Juventus Academy Sydney and Futboltec.
The IFA typically performs well in the league with the under 12s completing an undefeated season last year.
Three rounds into the competition, the IFA's junior teams have excelled, with the youngsters producing a number of particularly impressive results.
The under 8s remain undefeated through six matches, having claimed comfortable victories over Brazilian Soccer Schools and Elite Football Academy.
IFA coach Mark Tyssen said he's looking forward to watching the juniors continue to improve throughout the final three rounds of the competition.
"The under 8's are off to a great start this summer and are playing some great junior soccer," Tyssen said.
"Local Kiama junior Riley Cooper has scored 17 goals already, the prolific goal scorer benefiting from some great teamwork from his teammates.
"The side also has two six-year-olds, several seven-year-olds and a few kids who have turned eight this year. The boys are enjoying their soccer and are having a lot of fun in this competitive summer league up in Sydney on Sundays."
The under 12s also sit on top of their pool, having won four matches, drawn one and lost one. They will take on second-placed The Football Factory on Sunday.
