More than 1700 trucks and motorcycles will take part in the annual event starting from two locations - the West Cliff Colliery at Appin from 8.15am and Bulli Tops from 8.30am.

The convoy will travel via Appin Road, Old Princes Highway, M1 Princes Motorway, Masters Road, Five Islands Road, Primbee bypass, Windang Road, Shellharbour Road, Lake Entrance Road and Princes Highway.

It will finish at Shellharbour Airport, where a family fun day will take place.

There will be speed reductions at times between 4.30am and 5pm on sections of Appin Road, M1 Princes Motorway, Princes Highway and Tongarra Road.

The right hand turn from Old Mount Ousley Road onto the M1/Mount Ousley Road will be closed between 7am and noon.

The convoy will travel in one lane along the route with motorists advised to expect delays.

The Convoy will depart under police escort from the Illawarra Coal's West Cliff Colliery on Appin Rd at about 8am and follow a route that will take them down Mt Ousley through Warrawong and past Stockland Shellharbour, through Albion Park Rail.

From there, it will be on to the Shellharbour Airport for the fun day that will feature live performances from Australian Rock Icons Hoodoo Gurus, pop sensations The Veronicas, award winning country artist Jayne Denham and local indie surf rockers Swells.

The day will also include world class FMX motocross displays, kids rides, helicopter joy flights, motor vehicle static displays, food and market stalls, plus more.

It's estimated that the bikes will begin to arrive at the Illawarra Regional Airport from around 9am and the trucks at approximately 9.30am - 10am.
