It comes after a dispute where the Dapto Agricultural and Horticultural Society chairman Noel Leslie announced an intention shut down the Dapto Dogs last week, to push forward with plans to redevelop the site for commercial and community reasons.

Locked out of the venue, Greyhound Racing NSW took the DAHS to court, where they had an injunction upheld to have administrator Grant Carroll take over the administration and running of race meetings.

It allowed the greyhound meetings to continue in the interim, before the matter returned to court on Friday.

"This is a great win for Greyhound Racing NSW and vindicates our actions," GRNSW chief executive Tony Mestrov said.

"We brought this action to court on behalf of the participants of Greyhound Racing NSW and we are pleased the court has given the green light to continue racing at Dapto.

"The first step will be to retrieve missing computers and hard drives and all other materials that are unaccounted for."

Carroll this week said he expected all events held at Dapto during the week, including the markets and Saturday's camel racing to continue.

In the judgement, Justice Stephen Robb said "I acknowledge that there remains some risk of confused lines of authority and communication, but I will proceed upon the basis that Mr Carroll and the defendants are adults, and any real dispute that cannot be resolved by using common sense may be brought back to the Court."

The DAHS released a statement following the judgement, declaring they would fight to prove the appointment of an administrator is "invalid".

"The court recognises the key fundamentals of this case: The Society isn't just about Dapto Dogs - it's a community facility offering muchmore," the statement said.

"It's home of the Dapto Rugby League Football Club, pigeon,poultry and dog clubs, Illawarra Cancer Carers, Learning Links Bingo, Dapto Markets, Aussie night markets, Accelerated training along withnumerous other activities.

"The Society is well run, at a profit, despite Dapto Dogs events losing $275,596 in the last financial year. We intend to seek final orders from the Supreme Court declaring the appointment of the administrator invalid as soon as possible."
