The Rodeo 4 Life event to be held at the WEC on Saturday, November 30, will raise money to fund world-first research at the RPA Transplant Institute.
The actor, best known for portraying Mick Taylor in the Wolf Creek films and television series, said he was proud to support an event promoting organ donation.
"I grew up in Wongawilli in the Illawarra so I'm really excited about heading back to my home town to be part of such an important cause when Rodeo 4 Life rocks the Gong!" he said.
The event will also feature seven-time Golden Guitar winner Travis Collins, who will perform a full-length concert on the night.
To add to that some of the country's top bullriders will compete for $30,000 in prize money.
Rodeo 4 Life producer Doug Vickers OAM said all of the profits would go to increasing the number of liver and kidney transplants at the Institute.
