The team at Yours and Owls have announced a music event, A Sunny Afternoon, the day after they host the Farmer and The Owl festival in the same location.
The one-day festival on March 1 is for "the whole family" to enjoy with children and family-priced tickets plus kids under 4 enter for free.
Yours and Owls director Balunn Jones said this concert would highlight "singer-songwriter acts" that would appeal to an older demographic.
"We generally tend to pick acts that appeal to a younger Triple J crowd," he said.
"This event is for people who wouldn't usually go to Yours and Owls.
"I grew up when Missy Higgins and Something for Kate were really popular and it will be good to see them perform again now.
"This concert will have a more relaxed atmosphere and a different musical genre."
Ash Grunwald, Pacific Avenue, Bec Sandridge, 19-Twenty and Sam Allen are also on the line up.
Mr Jones said the team was capitalising on the set up for the Farmer and The Owl festival.
"It is a huge task to hold an outdoor festival," he said.
"There is a lot of equipment that needs to be brought in to MacCabe Park. It will be good to use the equipment for different shows."
However, the event will be "totally different" to the Farmer and The Owl as that has five stages.
"Missy Higgins will be on the main stage and there will be activities for kids," Mr Jones said. "Parents won't have to rough it out with 18-year-olds."
He said the festival would have a "lazy sunny afternoon" feel.
"March 1 is the first day of autumn. It is my favourite time of year in Wollongong as there is still daylight savings, the days are warm and there isn't the intensity of the summer heat," Mr Jones said.
"People should get out to MacCabe Park with their family, kids and friends and have a good time."
